Aaron96
I am having trouble recording vocals with a condenser microphone on my Line 6 UX2. I am using a MXL 990. I checked to make sure I had the Phantom Power on. I am able to record guitars and vocals with a dynamic microphone just fine. I am very new to recording and am very confused by this. I would very much appreciate any help/tips anyone has to offer. -Aaron96
fflbrgst
You are using an XLR-XLR cable to connect the mic to the UX2? Make sure you have the phantom power on the UX2 turned on. Note that it is possible that the USB from your computer is not supplying enough power for the UX2 to power the mic - this sometimes happens with other interfaces that do not have a separate power supply.
texpineknot
You might also try using a high-impedance to low-impedance input adapter.
