  1. I've used a UX2 for several years now with no issues. I recently aquired a Presonus Firestudio, which I plan to use for most my recording going forward because it has 8 mic inputs. I installed the Firestudio drivers and immediately my PodFarm plugins now say they are unlicensed and my PC can't see the UX2 anymore as a device. The License Monkey thing doesn't see it either. The Firestudio is working fine, but now I can't use my PodFarm VSTs, and I also was wanting to use my UX2 for sound from my PC to speakers for general movie watching and such, so I don't have to leave my Firestudio on all the time. Is it possible for both to work side by side, and if so, how to go about it?
  2. Can I use an iPad mini 4 with a ux2? I've got the ux2 but my old laptop just doesn't cut it, can I use my iPad mini 4?
  3. Will i be able to install my Pod Farm 2 and Line 6 Monkey on my new PC build ? I do recordings using my UX2 interface, and as long as it's working, i would still like to use it on my new PC. What do i need to do ? I will build it this coming weekend, so i'm preparing myself for all the programs that need reinstalling. Same OS.. Win 10 if that matters. Thank you.
  4. Once I updated my Macbook Pro late 2013 to MacOS Sierra 10.12 the UX2 usb audio interface crashes the computer. Everytime I plug in the ux2 interface, the computer immediately restarts and gives the error message (white text on black background). I have tried both of my Mac's usb slots, tried taking everything off of the interface (monitors etc.) and tried it with and without power cable on my computer. Also, when I try to start my computer while the UX2 is plugged in, the Mac's starting screen has some white error messages and then the computer restarts. Nothing helps. So atm I CAN'T USE THE INTERFACE AT ALL. Pod Farm software doesn't seem to have any problems. Please tell me if you've had these problems or you can help.
  5. Hi all, So I just bought a line 6 POD Studio UX2 and im having some issues installing pod farm 2. 6. Hi Line 6 forum, My question is: Has anyone been able to successfully connect the Razer Sieren Pro with the UX2? If yes, How is this achieved? I've unboxed from new and fully installed PODFarm v2.59 & Line 6 Monkey/ Authorized my UX2 to my PC. My objective is to use the UX2 and PODFarm as a voice morphing/ changer for creative gaming purposes. The Razer Sieren Pro has three outputs: USB, Headphone/ AUX female jack and a DMX 5-pin output with a Y split XLR adaptor cable (one 5-pin into two 3-pin). The Razer Sieren Pro works correctly when connected directly to the PC, however the PODFarm voice morphing software doesn't transmit out through the Microphone. I've browsed many forums and tutorials and have tried the basic adjustments i;e: Adjusted the UX2 dials and enabling the phantom +48V button, tried multiple UX2 line/ microphone ports/ inputs/ outputs with the above mentioned cable/ AUX cable and also an aftermarket adaptor cable (one 5-pin to one 3-pin) , changing the PODFarm mixer INPUT: Mic 1 and tried the various other inputs, enabling UX2 as default through Windows 10 sound settings and disabling all other audio and recording inputs/ outputs. Still no success. Any clarity or result would be much appreciated, cheers.
  7. Hi Line 6 forum, My question is: Is it possible to use the gaming headset microphone as an input into the UX2? If yes, How is this achieved? I've unboxed from new and fully installed PODFarm v2.59 & Line 6 Monkey/ Authorized my UX2 to my PC. My objective is to use the UX2 as a voice morphing/ changer for creative gaming purposes. My audio and microphone headset is a Logitech G633 running the up to-date v99.0.10 software. I've browsed many forums and tutorials over the past 6 hours and have tried the basic adjustments i;e: Adjusted the UX2 dials and enabling the phantom +48V button, changing the POD Farm mixer INPUT: Mic 1 and tried the various other inputs, enabling UX2 as default through Windows 10 sound settings and disabling all other audio and recording inputs/ outputs. Any clarity or result would be much appreciated, cheers.
  8. Hello, I'm planning to start recording and I have a huge problem with my gear. When any noise goes through my microphone (Shure SM57) and my sound card (Line6 UX2) it goes out of tune, something like half a step lower, no matter if pod farm is on or not. People I chatted with have noticed it and it makes recording impossible. I don't know whether the problem comes from my sound card, my microphone or myself, and I would like some help, I have no idea what's happening.
  9. Hi, I've been searching everywhere but I can't seem to find an answer for this problem that I'm having, I really hope someone can shed some light on this. I've been having some trouble with my UX2, I should preface this by saying everything's working properly outside of the fact, input levels are normal, it's reading a normal output level, etc. So, my problem is that when I plug my headphones into the headphone jack (through adapters, yes) fully, the sound is so quiet and only really comes through the left speaker. When I plug in the headphones about 3/4 of the way in, they work perfectly fine like they used to. I suppose I could just record like this, but I'm worried that this may not be accurate sound, and I'd just like the sanctity of mind to know that I'm hearing accurate playback. Can someone please fill me in on what's going on, if this is a hardware issue, a jack issue, if this is a huge problem or not. Thank you.
  10. After 8 years really good working my UX2, after Mac Os reinstall to new hard drive, won't get a licence for a pod farm( everything else works well like outputs inputs and drivers). It says to reconnect usb cable(replace 2 of them already) or connect to support. Error code 8000710B. ESN :None Latest drivers, monkey and licence manager. Screenshots on attach. need help
  11. Hello, I have the POD Farm UX2. Whenever I open pod farm and go to "mixer view" and choose "Mic 1", there is no sound or anything detected from it. I checked the license manager and everything is authorized on my UX2 and computer. Is there anything I missed or can do to fix it? It worked fine previously on an old computer, now on a new one it does not. Everything worked fine previously on Windows 7, then after doing a fresh install for Windows 10 and downloading it, I am having issues. Extra Info & Screenshots: - Microphone being used: Audiotechnica AT2035 (I do have the +48V enabled) - Yes, all my drivers are updated according to L6 Monkey - Using Windows 10 - My UX2 is authorized in the license manager - I tried multiple USB slots and reinstalls with the same issue. Microphone not detected screenshot below Thanks for the help
  12. Hello, I use Line 6 UX2 with Podfarm as software to play my guitar. So this is how I usually connect: Guitar -> UX2 -> Computer (Podfarm) | Headphones Now I bought a Loop pedal and I do this: Guitar -> Loop Pedal -> UX2 -> Computer (Podfarm) | Headphones And it works perfectly fine! No delay or whatsoever. My question is whenever I play something, let's say Am C D F as a loop with CLEAN sound and then on my Layer 2 want to play solo over this, and click "Pedal ON" on my Podfarm the Layer 1 also changes. So how do I solve this problem? I want to be able to: Layer 1. Clean acoustic sound, looping! Layer 2. Distortion Solo. Layer 3. Another sound etc. So how do I do this with the UX2? Please help.
  13. I bought (and registered) a black UX2 in 2009 and have been using it issue free (for the most part) until a few months ago. It was purchased from a retail store, brand new. My computer crashed a few months ago after I installed Windows 10 and I had to re-install Windows 10 (if that matters at all). I have always had access to POD Farm 2, but now I don't. My online Line 6 account says I haven't purchased anything (when I click 'My Software' from the License Manager. The UX2 was registered in 2009, Line 6 Monkey says I have POD Farm 2.59, and License Manager says I have FX Junkie. What's going on?
  14. I bought today line 6 UX2 and wanted to connect it to my mac. After i open monkey it shows me just one device option (PODxt) to choose and on license manager i can't see my UX2. Did you experience a similar problem? What should i do?
  15. Hey hey hey, it's my second day with my ux2. Pod farm 2 amp modulations are awesome. But i use garageband to record and i wanna also try garage band's modulations. Could you explain me how?
  16. Hello! I've had a Line 6 Toneport UX2 for a couple of years now. Recently I got a new desktop PC running windows 10. When i connect my toneport all I can hear coming from the outputs and the phones output is a loud hissing noise. Drivers are all up to date, line 6 monkey shows me all green ticks, asio drivers are all ok. the input vu-meter is always at maximum even though nothing is connected to it. no input signal, no output sound (except for the loud hiss.) Running it in a usb 2.0 on the motherboard (so no usb dongle or something like that). Tried it with all ports, a couple of different usb cables. I've also tried seeing if my PC's output voltage was the problem but everything is ok, no overclocking done. I'm running out of ideas. Could anyone help me with this?
  17. Hi, everyone, Hoping for some help here. I have recently purchased a POD UX2 for home recording, replacing an older pair of PODs for bass and guitar. I am slowly getting my tones dialed in where I want them, but am having trouble with one thing in particular. I have a great bass tone with some distortion on it to get a grindy, almost Mötorhead kind of sound from my 5-string, and that's what I want to use for most of my bass tracks. However, I also need to get a good, "clean" bass tone as well with no fuzz or distortion for quieter parts. My problem is, no matter what amp model I choose and no matter what cab, settings, or effects I use or don't use, I'm just not getting a completely clean tone. If I play at normal velocity, either pick or fingers, the output sounds "clipped", like a harsh, buzzsaw sound overlaying the smooth bass tone. I'm checking the line in levels before the effects, the output levels, and the ultimate output level in my DAW (which is GarageBand for the time being), but I see that I'm nowhere near clipping anywhere; I've got at least 6-15 dB of headroom, depending on where I'm measuring it. I can lower the "drive" setting on any of the amps and dial it mostly out (mostly, it's still there if you really dig in), but then the output is so low as to be almost inaudible. I'd like to know if this is just a matter of finding the right amp and cab combo, if there's something I need to be doing on the instrument end, or if this is just an artifact of how the amps were modeled, and there's just clipping somewhere in the chain I can't get rid of. I've tried this with four different basses -- a Rogue P-Bass with passive pickups, a Kramer Baretta with dual-rail passives, an Epiphone Thunderbird with stock passives, and an Ibanez SRC6 with passive EMG-HZs and an active EMG-based preamp. Regardless of settings, bass, or anything else, whenever I get anywhere near a volume that is comparable to any of my other tones for guitar or distorted bass, I get that buzzing, clipping noise again, but again, I'm not seeing anything near clipping input levels anywhere in the chain. Is this something up with my UX2, or am I just not understanding how the models work correctly? Thank you, Rob
  18. Hey first of all I want excuse myself if I explain this in a bad way. So I use a Line 6 UX2 + AT2035 microphone for PC gaming and streaming. Works great and all that. However, I just recently got myself a Playstation 4 so figured that instead of buying a completely new headset etc. I'll just buy cables for the Line 6 UX2. So I got : 1x 6.3mm Mono Cable 3m, 1/4 inch to 1/8 inch 3.5mm Audio Splitter Cable1x KingTop 3.5mm Combo Audio Adapter Cable for PS4 So the 1/4 Inch to 1/8 inch goes into UX2 analog out L and R, connects into the PS4 adapter that fits into the PS4 controller. Microphone wise it works good. However, as I also use my UX2 to listen through. The analog out not only outputs my mic to my PS4 but it also outputs whatever sound is coming from my PC. So my question is, is there anywhere in PODFARM or on the UX2 I can prevent it from transfering the audio from my PC and get it to output the microphone only? I feel like it should be possible as hearing the audio isnt that what the headphones monitor thing is for on the front of the UX2? Thank you for your time. Best regards Chris "Sohlus"
  19. when I connect the ux 2 toneport to the guitar speakers, it smells burnt and ux2 will not turn on. after I unload it is charred on the resistor like this photo. seen there is a charred on R43 What should I do? I come from Indonesia and in this country there is no service center. Can I get service manual for line 6 ux 2? where i can get motherboard map / motherboard schematic. Please help me :'(
  20. Please help me diagnose the problem I'm having so I can finally, finally get recording. I have owned this product for close to 3 years and it still isn't doing anything for me. I bought the UX2 in the hopes that I could begin some basic, rudimentary, at-home recording. I plugged it in and installed it and it worked great -- right up until I started recording. Every single recording that I create with my UX2 sounds like garbage. I have not had the time or money to try a new box or new software after sinking hours and hours into this one, tweaking this and that in hopes that I might find the problem. When I play live, it sounds great on my monitor. When I record it, the recording comes out muddy, noisy, and greatly reduced in quality. I can't use any of this! Here are example recordings. When I play live, these tones sound great -- clear, rich, low-end performance-quality. Listen to them and tell me something isn't wrong with this product. https://www.dropbox.com/s/238lqudzkb96kym/33.wav?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/j464nw579nmeajc/22.wav?dl=0 Steps I have taken to fix the problem: 1. Changing DAWs. - I have used Audacity, Reason, Audition, Cakewalk, and Ableton. All of them have the exact same issue, so I have to conclude that it is either the box or the software. 2. Changing settings - I have checked the bitrate (16bits 44100) - I have recorded dry and then added Pod Farm effects as a VST. - I have checked volume and signal levels. - I have tried with and without distortion -- the loss of quality is the same with both. - I have changed windows settings to see if that's the issue. - I have run my programs by themselves with all other programs shut off in case it was a processor issue (my computer is fairly powerful, 6Gb ram, dual core 2.6Ghz) 3. Uninstall and reinstall - No change 4. Used the low-gain input - still a loss of quality.
  21. So I know that similiar problems have been posted here in recently, but none of the fixes work for me. I recently got the POD studio UX2, and installed POD farm 2.5 on my PC, along with all the necessary drivers (line6 monkey and the hardware driver) and registration steps. Unfortunately, I am still not able to get the interface/software to pick up my guitar. I have both my recording and playback devices set to the interface, selected "instrument" on the POD farm input menu, have the UX2 selected in the hardware preferences tab, and my guitar/cable works through an amp. The interface is lit up (yellow/orange lights on), but the dials don't move at all. I also noticed that I am unable to hear any other sounds from my computer (youtube/Spotify), so I am not sure if this helps isolate the issue. At this point I have no idea what to do and am considering opening up a ticket. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks
  22. So ive had my ux2 for almost 8 months now, and im using the electrovoice microphone, i have my settings perfectly set up for a good casting voice when i stream on twitch, about a week ago one of my friends said i sound super different and didnt know what he meant, but as soon as today i was watching his stream i heard my self talk and i sounded suuuuuper deep, i was confused onto what it could be and tried everything to fix it, and cant. I changed my mic to my webcam and it sounded perfect, but for some reason its the ux2 making it sound like this, all my settings are the same, i have not changed anything. even tried changing my microphone to a shure sm7b and still sounds the same.
  23. Hi. My Toneport ux2 won't connect to gearbox on my mac... Is this simply because LIne6 haven't released the macOS Sierra version of Gearbox? If so does anyone know when this will be released? Cheers
  24. hi, so i've had a ux2 for some years with no issue, until today when i realized it will not receive an instrument input signal. instrument inputs are selected in the mixer screen, instruments and cables i've tried are all known to be working (through use in other amps), meters set to 'input' rather than 'output' shows nothing, all my drivers etc are up to date, i tried turning it off and on again, i tried shutting down, unplugging, re-selecting hardware from podfarm preferences window, no luck. is my unit broken? that would be unfortunate, it has been a while since i bought it so it is probably no longer in warranty, but, i have also purchased model packs, which will be rendered useless if the unit doesn't work. i don't really like the idea of just losing the money i had spent on line 6 products... what should i try next? thanks for any advice
  25. Hello, I recently purchased a Line6 UX2 and I just plugged in my casual headphones through a 1/4 inch adapter and I am receiving a static like noise in both of my ear cups but particularity the left ear cup. I was wondering if this is due to the 1/4 inch adapter or the UX2 is defective? Please let me know your ideas. Thank you.
