Aliasing at high tones

When I Play high notes on the high e- string at 20th fret and higher, there is an audible "phasing" while bending the string slowly.

Today (last day for the demo) I have recorded a small track where you can hear what I mean.

It's not depending on the DAW settings of the bitrate.  Changing from 96 kHz to 48 kHz didn't Change anything.

The attached file was recorded in 24 bit / 96 kHz with Reaper 64 bit on Windows 10.

Amp: Plexi bright channel

Distortion: Tubescreamer

Impulse respose of a Marshall 1960 Lead Cab. (Helix Cab Sim as an alternative didn't change anything)

Input noisegate on (turning it off didn't help)

May be that' s an issue with the PC or audio interface (Steinberg U22 mark II)? Does anybody hear something like that with his own Helix Native?

In a view month (when I have the money) I plan to test end eventually buy a Helix Rack. Because of the different hardware I think (and hope) that the aliasing issue won't be there (I will test). The Helix Native I would then buy for the discounted price and just for practice at home (Helix Rack with the band).

Any ideas?

Not exactly sure what I'm supposed to be hearing in that track... I guess I do hear some slight wooshing in the background, but that sort of stuff would never come through in a recording with other instruments. There's also all sorts of artifacts that happen in actual amps themselves.

Phil, yes - that wooshing while the string gets slowly bended.

The artifacts that you can hear are not on my radar. For me, the sounds of the amps are very good (when using cab irs).

Good to know that here are so good "hearers" - really!

But what I would like to know is wheather this is also the case with your Helix Native at similar conditions - or did it only happened with my configuration.

Thanx for your efforts.
