Helix Snapshots with Powercab 12 Plus

I assume you're talking about connecting the Powercab Plus via the L6 Link connection... You have to treat the Powercab parameters just like any other parameter you want to control with snapshots. You have to assign them to the Snapshot Controller (or any controller) in order for the values to change with snapshots.

Thanks. I got that much. When I scroll through the available Powercab Plus speaker IR's using, for example, Helix Edit, only the built-in IR's appear. My after-market IRs (eg Wire and OwnHammer) do not appear, and as far as I can tell cannot be controlled from within a snapshot.

You can change IRs in the Powercab via snapshot. You just can't do it in Speaker Mode. So you have to assign the Mode parameter to the snapshot controller as well. In HX Edit, you have to right click on the word "Mode" (to the left of the Flat, Speaker, User IR tabs). So in one snapshot, you can have it set to Speaker Mode using whatever speaker model you want, and then in the other, you'd have it set to User IR mode and have it select whatever IR you want. The User IR parameter would need to be set the snapshot controller as well.

Great tip Phil_m, thanks! Especially the part about being able to assign the "Mode" to snapshots as well as the "User IR [1+2] parameter. Really glad that Line6 coded this up. It is IMHO a critical linkage between the Helix and the PC+ and incredibly useful.
