Issue switching amp with Midi and 4CM

Hey Folks,

hope you guys can help me!

I just got a Helix Floor and inspired by Richie Castellano i tried mentioned connection. I wanted to switch my amp with MIDI and 4CM but it already drives me nuts, because even if the Helix is turned off the amplifier goes crazy and tries to switch everything at once. (I tried to drag a video file but i can't upload small enough) The 4CM is definitely connected correctly and so is the midi cable.

If i connect a MIDI-Footswitch on the amp and 4CM on the Helix, everything works perfectly fine. If i connect the MIDI-Cable only, i can switch my amp with the Helix. But if i go for MIDI AND 4CM on the Helix, the amp tries to switch everything on and off.

To me it seems as if it is an issue of the Helix hardware.

Did anyone have a similar problem, or does anyone have a hint to solve it?

Thank you very much in advance.

Are you on firmware v2.81? If not, update now. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS PRECISELY!

Older versions tended to send spurious commands on Preset load.

Make sure that in Globals-MIDI/Tempo "MIDI PC Send" is OFF.

Set "MIDI Thru" to OFF.

When setting PC messages in Command Center, be sure that "BankCC00" and "Bank CC32" are OFF.

Have everything connected before turning anything ON.

Try turning ON the Helix, letting it fully boot, THEN turn ON the amp.

If none of that works, load a MIDI Monitor (MIDIOX if you're using Windows) and with "MIDI Over USB" set to ON, run thru the whole procedure, watching the monitor at each step to see what's actually being sent. Use the Helix ON first procedure. NOTHING should be sent until you actually load a preset which has an Instant Command configured.

NOTE: Configure the DEVICES in MIDIOX after Helix boots or it won't be detected.
