HX Stomp - Bypassing Blocks in Snapshot Mode

Simple question with, I think, a simple answer.

I run my stomp as a multi-fx type thing at the moment, with a few external OD pedals and use snapshot mode to toggle between different delay/reverb/mod settings during songs. However if I want to have no effects at all I either need to swap to stomp mode and turn them all off, or have an empty Snapshot saved.

Using HX Edit I can see I can assign a bypass to blocks on FS4/FS5 or midi.

Just checking, does this still work in Snapshot mode?

If I have the Snapshot save settings to discard I should be able to use the external switch (FS4 or FS5) to bypass all blocks and then next time I load that snapshot blocks will be active as previously saved.

Does this make sense? Is there an easier way to do this without needing an external switch? Am I being an idiot?

Cheers

I don't presently have my external FS4/FS5 switch hooked up, but I assigned the bypass function to FS3, and it worked as you described. Switching snapshots turned off the bypass.

Actually, pressing ANY switch turns it off. Don't know how that would work with MIDI though.

OK, I just dragged over my FCB1010 with the Helix sysex loaded.

Changing snapshots via MIDI DOES NOT turn off bypass.

Sending any other Stomp message via MIDI DOES turn off Bypass, and setting FS5 to control Bypass works as expected.
