simenruud Posted December 4, 2019 Share Posted December 4, 2019 Hi everyone, I just got my new (well, used) Helix Effects and it's already causing me a bunch of trouble. Mainly due to strange cracking and chirping noises. It's almost like soft static that comes on and off very frequently. Here's the strange thing - it happens even if I plug an unpowered Helix directly into my AxeFx via a normal jack. The crackling almost seems worse if I unplug the power supply from the Helix. I live in an older building, so high gain stuff is obviously noisy. This, however, is something completely different. I've never heard anything like this before, even with lots of gain and weird effects in my chain. I've tried multiple cables etc, obviously. It all leads back to the Helix. Any ideas on what to do?
