brune
brune
In your language Hello community , Sorry for my aproximatif English. I am French. I expose here, a problem, now recurring, despite the many Maj, that I have always made scrupulously, and that I have for some time not to say a certain time, with "the offers of configurations midi" helix. .... I have a helix floor and I try to control some basics midi functions of a microkorg xl + via the helix. Procedure. 1-By preset, I launch a program change (PC instant switch, use of the bottom tab = simple number x) + 2 or 3 midi notes with the switch 8/9 + CC (CC6 on / off the arpeggiator and CC 64 Old function) with the switch 10/11 all that towards the korg .. (I think I understood the operation of the comand center .. affectation midi for preset or snapshot ...) 2- Problem: the affection of the ON / OFF controller of the Korg arpeggiator (midi command CC6) to erratic behavior and more random 'EX: It is necessary once the loaded preset of the Korg via helix, actuate manually the button of the arpeggiator (korg) so that the "connection-recognition" with the dedicated switch, CC6 of the helix, does (despite saving the preset with the arpeggiator ON on the Korg). It no longer works for the use ... BUG on Bug no stability .... Sorry .. but it makes ... More than crazy ..., another fatal result of this behavior, the notes, with the evil -function of the cc6, remain blocked .... In addition, the affected Notes switch will turn on momentarily or not at all. I am in shift 2.82. I also reset the helix via switches 9 and 10 nothing has changed. ... Finally, I held and I took the risk of doing a concert yesterday with such a configuration. ..It was say. ... I miss the words to write my troubles ...;) ... Thank you in advance, for any sharing of midi helix experiences and all help ..
rd2rk
Pardon my French (pun intended). I'm using Google Translate. If I understand your problem (and the awful Korg Manual), there are two ways to play an arpeggio on your Korg. 1) Manually - activate the Arpegiator by pressing the button, then hold down the notes of the chord to be arpeggiated. 2) By Program - a saved program that arpeggiates a specific chord in a specified pattern. I've attached a preset that: On load, sends a Program Change, then sends CC#6 with a Value of 0 (ON). Unfortunately, Helix will only send ONE NOTE at a time. I don't have a Korg, but using a SW Synth (VacuumPro) I can build an arpeggio by sending succesive notes in LATCHING mode, and I can modify the arpeggio on the fly by turning the NOTEs ON/OFF individually. Let me know if this works for you. Pardonnez mon français (jeu de mots voulu). J'utilise Google Traduction. Test Arp.hlx
brune
Rd2rk First of all a big thank you for your answer as well as your preset. ..I will try this ... by the way, yesterday I thought I solved the problem by adjusting the value of cc6, 62, off / 72, on ... It worked for a moment ... then nothing. notes and other functions like volume and management of an LFO work. Last point, oddly the cc6 works best if the in / out of Helix and Korg are connected. In short, I do not understand anything.
brune
sorry Rd2rk, I forgot to answer your questions. I just want to be able with the helix via a Cc start and stop the arpeggiator Korg. the CC advocated by the Korg Handbook and CC6. But obviously ,the manual indicates the following for controlling the arpeggiator. I do not know how to send this kind of midi message with the helix= NRPN (“Non Regis- tered Parameter No.”). Manual : Control of the arpeggiator When the arpeggiator settings are changed by the buttons or front panel, the following NRPN messages are transmitted. To the reception of these NRPN messages, the corresponding settings of the are changing. The transmission and reception of these messages are on the Global channel. The table shows the correspondence between the values of the message and parameter values of the microKORG XL +. • ON / OFF: [Bn, 63, 00, Bn, 62, 02, Bn, 06, mm] • LATCH: [Bn, 63, 00, Bn, 62, 04, Bn, 06, mm] • TYPE: [Bn, 63, 00, Bn, 62, 07, Bn, 06, mm] • GATE: [Bn, 63, 00, Bn, 62, 0A, Bn, 06, mm] • SELECT: [Bn, 63, 00, Bn, 62, 0B, Bn, 06, mm] (n: channel, mm: parameter value)
