G10 charging questions

I've just got a new G10 system and have a couple of questions regarding charging:

- the transmitter has been in the charger (firmly seated) for about 4 1/2 hours for its initial charge, but the LED is still flashing green (it never went to solid green). The transmitter is also feeling very warm. Is this normal for a first charge?

- is it OK to leave the receiver connected to the power supply 24/7 (with the transmitter inserted)?

Today I took the transmitter off charge, used it for about 90 minutes and the red LED came on, indicating < 30 mins remaining charge. So I put the transmitter back into the base unit and the LED went straight to solid green - indicating fully charged.

WTF????

If you can, I'd recommend returning if for exchange. If it's a new product, it should be considered defective and replaceable. The retailer should accommodate that. I don't think you should have to file a warranty claim against Line 6, if it was this way out-of-the-box. (Just layman's opinion, not a legal one...)

I have read that it's recommended to leave the transmitter in the receiver and connected to power when not in use. If someone chimes in with different information, I'll try to find and cite the source where I read this.

Good luck! And be careful with that micro-usb connector -- have you read any threads on that yet?

Thanks - I've contacted the reseller and requested an exchange.

Yes I started reading about issues with the micro-connector while researching this problem. This will be sitting in the same spot in my study (no gigging), so hopefully it will be resilient enough for me, but I am beginning to wonder whether I should have gone for the Boss WL-50 :0(

I've been very satisfied with my G10, although I'm only a casual user. I have played a couple of gigs with it and had no problems. It sounds great, IMO, and the range is suitable for my needs. Hope yours also works to your satisfaction.
