optofonik
A lot of commercial IR files are 24 bit. I'm wondering about the quality of the Helix down conversion and if it might be better to dither using dedicated 3rd party software before loading it into the Helix
jester700
I wouldn't sweat it if you're using Helix for guitar signals. The difference made by adding dither noise in going from 24 to 16 bit is a very subtle thing on the best of audio signals. On electric guitar it's buried by all the other noise.
SaschaFranck
Just do some comparisons yourself and decide what you prefer. Shouldn't take more than just a few minutes. Personally, I think the way Helix does it is fine.
