BurntGerbil
Hi all. Bought an HX Stomp a couple of months ago to make a tiny, portable modeling rig. I'm using a Morningstar MC6 controller, the HX Stomp, and a Source Audio Collider for delay and reverb. This is my first time really digging into a MIDI setup, so I'm guessing I'm doing something wrong here. I'm wanting to utilize the PC send from the HX to keep the Collider on the corresponding preset. When both devices are set to the same MIDI channel, this works fine. However, if the Stomp is on ch 1 and the Collider is on ch 2, they don't communicate with each other. Having them on the same channel seems like it will cause some conflicts when using the Morningstar for expanded controls. Is there a way to keep them on separate channels and still be able to use the PC out from the HX Stomp to keep the delay presets synced up? Thank you
phil_m
You sort of answered your own question. If you have the Stomp and Collider set to different MIDI channels, you won’t be able to use the automatic PC Send from the Stomp to control the Collider. It really shouldn’t be a dealbreaker, though, as the Morningstar is quite capable. I don’t remember offhand what the maximum number of messages you can send per preset on the Morningstar is, but you can certainly send two different PC messages, each on its own channel.
