Poopghost64
Hi guys im using the 4 cable method with my pod go on my blackstar ht 40 combo. Im basically just using it for effects like a 808 in front of amp and delay and reverb in the loop. My problem is that when I use the 808 on the pod or honestly any overdrive it makes the amp more shrill like there is to much high end. I messed with the tone nob and everything but it sounds super weird compared to my real tube screamer . Does anyone have a solution to this? voxman55
Hi @Poopghost64, (re p32 of manual) have you checked the FX loop level and main out level - assuming you are using stomp and not rack units, do you have these correctly set for 'instrument' (stompboxes) and not 'line' (for rack processors)? (if you were ever previously using with headphones, you might have global settings on 'line')
malhavok
@Poopghost64 a good thing with 4CM is first set up all your connections and go to a blank preset. Turn off everything on the preset so POD Go is not doing anything to the sound. Then play with all your input/output levels until until it sounds identical (absolutely no difference in any way) to the sound of plugging your guitar directly into the amp as though POD were not there. It takes a bit of time unplugging and re-plugging everything but do lots of A/B comparisons with/without POD Go in the chain until it is exactly right.
