HelixLT hickups when using AES digital out

Hi all,

i´m a rather happy HelixLT-user, but i experience the following problem:

When connecting the unit via AES digital out, it crashes after a short while. That means the unit is no longer responding to any inputs via buttons etc. i make. Using the analog outs i have no problems at all.

Firmware version is 2.92 (is it possible to downgrade to an older version?) and sample rate is set in both the Helix and the receiving RME Interface to 44.1 kHz.

Any ideas why this happens?

Btw. with firmware version 2.91 the problem was apparently even more severe in that the display got confused or the unit would not even boot correctly.

Thanks for your help!

Markus

I'm on v2.92 and having no such problems. Helix (Floor)/Powercab112+ is on 8AM-11PM every day.

Are you using a proper AES cable? Connected to a quality surge suppressor/emi/rfi strip?

Any major appliances on the same circuit?

Close proximity to routers, cell phones, other wireless devices?

If all of the above is copacetic, it might be worth opening a support ticket.
