Slangdaddy
Hello I run my System with a Truetone CS7 Powersupply. In front of my HX Stomp i got an ABY Pedal, a Tuner, Boost and two Overdrives... I run my HXStomp (Amp Simulation and Effekts) via the Output (L/Mono) into a BossLooperRC3 and than into my PA. Normal so far. In the HXStomp i split the signal-path at the beginning and root "path b" to the send (stereo) Output. Than i go from the Send-Output into my normal AmpCombo "Blackstar Studio 10 6L6". The amp is mic`d up into another Channel of the PA, to mix both Signals. As soon as i put my patchcabel into the amp it causes most likely noise. Sometimes it is fine, but not that often. I checked everything else, like diconnecting the other pedals, or lower the gain. The noice keeps on going in the same Volume. Is there anyone who knows a solution.... The Setup sounds great when it works, but it is not reliable enough at the moment. Manny Thanks so far!
rd2rk
An active ABY will sometimes do this. I have a Morley ABY that does it. A ground loop will do this. Make sure the Amp, HXS and anything else connected are all on the same EMI/RFI filtered power strip and that there's no fluorescents or appliances on that wall circuit. If there's no ground switch on the PA, same applies. Don't forget any USB devices, computers etc. You may have the send/returns set to LINE when they want INSTRUMENT. Check Global>Ins/Outs. Use shielded (instrument) cables on the Send/Returns. Failing all that, swap out some cables. If you've STILL got noise, call the local witch/wizard to check for proximity to major ley lines......
