Helix User presets sounds fizzy

I'm using Helix with my Ableton. When I used it for the first time and created patches, everything sounded as it would be. The second time I booted the ableton and used my Helix Native, the existing patches sounds frizzy, when I create a new one or use the factory settings, it sounds great.

Any advise?

Hi,

Not sure what could be happening there. I don’t use Ableton (I have it, came free with a MIDI keyboard), I have Logic Pro X, but I have not had this happen to me.

Let me work through this situation.

If it worked fine first time - that’s good, that’s normal.

Second time, it works fine with the Factory and any new preset you create - the presets you created previously sound fizzy.

O.K. it seem that the only thing wrong is your own presets.

Now, what I would do is open HX Native for a third time and see if the presets you created in the second attempt work normally or if they are also fizzy. If they are good, simply recreate the ones that were fizzy before and try again.

Things like this which are intermittent can be difficult to track down, but check it is not something that has been overlooked - for example the noise gate on the input of Native. Elimination of things one by one is the only real way to solve this.

It may be a good idea to post a copy of the fizzy preset, then I could load it in Logic (and/or Ableton) to see if it “fizzes” for me. Also, does the fizzy preset, present exactly the same fizziness in the Helix hardware?

Hope this helps/makes sense.
