I wonder if the usb device can be used as an input channel in the patch mixer. Will it appear in the Asio Input List or somewhere or will it collide with the EMU Asio drivers? Another guess is that it may be smarter to use the digital port instead , not shure if the uSB driver eats up CPU power and/or latency. Hi, My, my that's a lot of options - all those different models of sound card. I'm not sure what you are asking about exactly, because IIRC, you previously asked about whether HX Edit 2.92 could run on a Window 7 machine. Answer was yes, but it would be better to have a more modern computer if you intend to be working with a Helix. If you are now trying to find out how to hook up a Helix with a computer through an E-MU PCI card then the answer would be, once more, YES! Helix has SDIF out and the E-MU cards have SPDIF in. Simple. The thing is why bother, the Helix is a "sound card" with 8 channels of audio over USB. Confused - I am.
