Use the Output Level on the DAW or other playback device to match the level from Helix.

The EASIEST way to deal with it is to get a small external mixer, like a Behringer Xenyx502 or the like. $50.

Depending on what AI you have, your BEST bet might be to run the Helix into the AI's XLRs and take the headphone out from your computer into the LINE inputs of the AI.

That would allow you to record the Helix and playback audio onto separate tracks. That's how I do it in my "studio" (Helix Floor using S/PDIF instead of XLRs).

At my desk (HXStomp) I just use a mixer and don't sweat separate tracks.
