alangenatossio
I have a Variax 700 acoustic model, looks like it's no longer made, perhaps a legacy product now. It does not interact with my helix, my digital cable is fine, I read on a thread that Helix does not support this older model (hardware software mismatch I guess). If this is the case, is it the same for the workbench - not compatible? Is there any way to modify and save alternate tunings on my Variax 700? Is there any software that talks to this older model. thanks, Alan G Seattle
psarkissian
Yes there is software, check the Line 6 Downloads page and follow the prompts. Check the OS compatibility for your computer. What you need is a Variax interface accessories to connect to your guitar to your computer for doing any updates with Line 6 Monkey or using the original Workbench. Old Variax is not compatible with the newer Workbench HD. May need to run the 700 Acoustic with batteries an 1/4" TRS Cable or the XPS power wedge. Also check your input settings to be certain that Variax input is enabled.
