kane21014
Hay does anyone know what Speaker is in the Gemini 2-P? I'm wanting to do a DIY version of the Cab because i love it and can't afford it but like all others Mission Claims it's a proprietary driver which im sure its just an Celestian or Eminence or whatever. roscoe5
Pretty sure it's a coaxial Eminence Beta 12CX with ASD1001 HF driver. https://www.eminence.com/pdf/Beta_12CX.pdf I had my eye on these for a while, but ended up buy a Line 6 Powercab +

It's coaxial as well, but the crossover I think is built in. With the Eminence, you have to buy their crossover too. https://celestion.com/product/200/f12x200/ They even publish plans to make your own cabinet per their specs. https://celestion.com/speakerworld/irs/220/BUILD_THIS:_F12-X200_1x12_Cabinet_Design/
roscoe5
I FINALLY found one of these passive Mission Gemini 2-P at my local GC. It's been on my want list forever. It actually does have Eminence speakers and crossovers. But the model of the speakers is "GM 12CX" on the backs, not Beta 12CX. So they may be custom made for the Mission Gemini's. It sounds great with both a Seymour Duncan Powerstage 700 and a Fryette Powerstation. I was a little surprised the the Fryette was not harsh at all with the full range speakers, and it feels more lively than the SD Powerstage. It makes all of the HX Cabs sound really good. LOTS of low end thump if you want it. Much more satisfying than Headrush or Line 6 Powercab 112.
