HX Stomp Driver Issues

Hello from Germany.

 

I just got my new HX Stomp, Downloaded all the software for the HX Edit with drivers etc. Connected my device. All good. I am able to edit presets in the HX Edit software and the HX Stomp itself also takes these changes. Now I wanted to listen to Youtube through the HX Stomp and all the problems started. I uninstalled and installed the HX Stomp in the device manager several times without any real outcome other than the error still beeing here. I uninstalled/installed the 3.00 HX Edit software bundle. No changes.

 

So currently the HX Edit software still runs and I am able to tweak and change presets but the rest is still open.

 

The device manager is showing Code39. I dont know what to do anymore. Can it be caused by a faulty USB port? I also tried both the ports on my Laptop which is a Microsoft Surface Book 3.

Or should I maybe get a new cable?

You didn't say what the problems are, or what version of the FW you're on, or what version of HX Edit.

 

Uninstall all Line6 SW and directories. Use a Registry Cleaner to remove the final traces.

 

IMPORTANT!!! PERFORM THE FOLLOWING STEPS IN ORDER!!!

 

1) Download and install HX Edit v3.0 and

2) update the FW FROM HX EDIT to v3.0.

 

If the FW is already at v3.0, perform a Factory Reset:

There's two ways to listen to streaming signals:

 

Assuming that your speakers are connected to HX Stomp:

 

1) In Windows Sound Panel, set the Playback Device to HX Stomp.

 

2) If the Laptop has an Audio Out jack (1/8"?):

 

Take the Audio Out from your laptop and, using an INSERT cable (1/8" stereo on the laptop end? to dual 1/4" TS), connect the dual TS ends to the L/Mono and RIGHT Returns.

 

In Global Settings>Ins/Outs, set RETURN TYPE to AUX.

 

If you're still getting the Code 39 error AFTER YOU'VE DONE THE ABOVE, google it. There's MANY articles about it.
