Frequency settings

I am very New to understanding frequencies for guitar.   I am in need of advice of where in helix to set the frequencies and what the frequency should be for two different scenarios.  1) Live performance straight to PA. 2) straight to DAW for recording.

thanks!

I assume you're talking about EQs. There's two types with differing functions, the EQ Block(s) you add to the signal chain, and the Global EQ.

You add an EQ to the signal chain to fine tune the TONE of the Preset or Snapshot. You fiddle with the frequencies (google guitar frequencies) until it sounds good. When doing this, get it as close as possible with the Tone Stack on the amp (BassMidTreblePresence), then go to the EQ Block. If you want the EQ settings to be different depending on the Snapshot, you assign the EQ parameters to SNAPSHOTS (RTM!).

The GLOBAL EQ is intended to be used to fine tune your overall sound to the room that you're playing in. You want to use this on the outputs connected to your stage monitor - amp, FRFR, whatever. You adjust this when you get to the venue. You DO NOT want to use it on the output that you're sending to FOH. EQing the FOH sound is the FOH engineer's job. Currently there's only one Global EQ. If you're using it on your stage monitor and for some reason the FOH engineer wants MORE HIGHS (or lows or whatever), you'll need to make a choice of where to assign the Global EQ. FOH is more important, but FOH usually has enough EQs available to handle it. If you're running your own sound from the stage, you'll need to learn from experience what gear you need.
