Hi, That’s an odd one, and I probably never considered it, as I have never felt the need to ever use a looper inside a DAW, because it’s simple enough to cycle a section in the DAW. Lot’s of other approaches to getting a loop effect going. A “greyed out” item on HX hardware usually means that there is not enough DSP available to load the block. Obviously, this should not be an issue in the HX Native software as you will only be limited by your computer’s processing power. It might be worth checking the “Hardware Compatibility” mode within the Helix Native preferences setting. https://line6.com/data/6/0a020a41143d65fb6bcb2ed8ca/application/pdf/Helix Native PilotGuide v3.00 - Rev N - English .pdf Hope this helps/makes sense. EDIT: The LOOPER, along with the SEND/RETURN Blocks, are not a a feature of Helix Native! In fact, when checking the preferences file in Native, there is an option to "Remove non-functioning hardware blocks (e.g. Looper) when importing presets". I have only just now bothered to look this up, because as I noted earlier, I never felt the need to use a looper in a DAW, or send/return loops. Hope this clears up the issue.
