Hi, I have various external loopers (Boss RC30, Ditto x4 and a cheapo Ammoon thing) that I can use with my Helix, all of them run in stereo using 4 regular guitar cables on the FX Send/Return sockets. I use different coloured cables to easily identify the send 1&2 and return 1&2. You can patch anything that runs in stereo to the send and returns, for example I often use an old Yamaha SPX90, an old 1980s Digital Delay, a Line 6 POD HD500 and even cheap a Zoom MS-70CDR.
