  1. Thanks for the link but indeed I followed all of the instructions and there was no mention of having to shut off my Helix LT and restart HX Edit and it also mentioned and shows a screen that was supposed to show up on my Helix LT screen showing "Boot Failure entered update mode" which never appeared. This occurred AFTER I shut off the Helix LT and shut off and restarted HX Edit. I then got the message part 2 of the firmware update had begun and ten minutes later the message "Boot Failure entered update mode". So in my case I needed to shut off the Helix as per instructions in HX Edit which was not mentioned in the firmware update instructions for 3.50. This is either an oversight in the instructions or a problem only I had. Perhaps it may help someone.
  2. So after I shut off the Helix LT and restarted it I got a message in HX Edit step 2 of 2 update. HX Edit is now updating device firmware. Please do not unplug your device or quit HX Edit. Why do the instructions on the update page clearly show a screen that did not appear on my Helix LT or mention that at this stage I need to shut off the Helix LT and restart HX Edit in order to complete the firmware update?
  3. after the halfway point or so I got the message in HX Edit that An error has occurred. Please try again. and I DID NOT get the message on my Helix LT screen giving me the option to continue but I do have one small line in the upper right reading "Update message server started". I waited a very long time so I am guessing it's time to follow the instructions in HX Edit and turn the power switch off and on and quit and restart HX Edit.
  4. I need to run my RC-500 in stereo ins and outs 1/4 inch cables to the Helix. Do I use TRs for quality or is that overkill?
  5. Self explanatory. After I updated I realized many updates prior. Not sure if anything earlier is needed. Thanks in advance
