Connecting Keyboard Via 1/4" to Helix to Logic Pro X

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

Been playing with this product or about 2 weeks now amazing equipment and keeps causing me to buy more stuff to start recording...

SO THE PROBLEM:

I am trying to record my keystrokes on my Yamaha PSR E273 and on to Logic Pro X via my MacBook.

I am using Helix as my Audio interface and I have connected my Yamaha into the Helix Via 1/4" and the helix USB to my MacBook. This is giving me legit power to the Logic program but when I record it doesn't record. Am I missing something big here. Any help. Thanks!

"record my keystrokes"??   Your Yammie's only audio out is a 1/4" stereo headphone jack.  A standard instrument cable should provide the audio out to the Helix (left channel only).

So in Logic, you need to set up a track for audio recording with the Helix as the audio source.

You can't record MIDI keystrokes, if that's what you were aiming for.
