Dear Helix users,

I am a 14 years old guitar playing enthusiast from Odessa, Ukraine. Recently Got a Helix for birthday from my family who fully supports  my endeavours.  Today with my dad we registered the product and tried to update the firmware from the 2.3 to the latest 3.01. We downloaded the Line6 Updater from the official site, downloaded and installed the latest Driver for Helix. The Updater does not see Helix no matter how we try. Checking the Devices menue on our PC ( Windows 10) shows Driver problem detected for Helix. We would greatly appreciate you kind assistance and good advise on how to troubleshoot and make it work. We thank you in advance for your help.

Hello Sergey Alexander. Welcome to the forum!

You should first download HX Edit v3.01. The download file is an installer package which will install all components that you need: the HX Edit program, the compatible version of Line 6 Updater, and all necessary drivers. These should automatically replace anything that’s already installed.

After installing everything (all at once!) connect your Helix via USB and run the HX Edit program. It should alert you to the presence of a firmware update and guide you through the firmware installation process.

Good luck, and don’t hesitate to ask more questions.

Dear Silverhead, thank you very much for your advice. We did as prescribed and all went well, however for some reasons when the device started to reboot after firmware update, the display showed "Boot failure, entered Update mode". This message repeats each time we try to re-start it. FYI, we did not turn Helix off while updating. Please advise what can be done to convince Helix come back to life. Thank you and

Kind regards,

Sergey
