I can switch from wah and volume.  I use the pedal and can see that the position percentage changes when i step on it but it has no affect on the sound.  volume or wah is the same.  I have turned them on and off and that hasn't changed anything.  I am new to this so it is possible i am missing something.

This might just be a minor software path corruption.

First thing is to make sure you've updated to v1.21 using Pod Go Edit v1.21.  (If you don't see the new models  you may need to reboot your computer).

If you are on the latest firmware, I'd suggest you save your patches using Pod Go Edit backup, then reboot back to factory settings by holding buttons C and D whilst powering up, then reinstalling your back up ( note: you won't lose the firmware update, it will still be v1.21).

If you still have problems, then raise a ticket with Line 6 support, and attach a copy of your back up for them to look at.

factory patches should work like you describe...follow what voxmann55 has posted...You could try backing it up and rebooting back to factory before you flash it to the newest just to see if it gets you back...If it does, then it might be that you whacked something in the pedal assignment....There is a bug there that 1.21 fixes, so maybe that is a contributing factor....or maybe you were just playing with you guitar strap adjusted to high?...jk...google Paul Gilbert Public Service Announcement if that doesn't make sense.

Thanks. that seems to have fixed it.

Good to hear and glad that the reset sorted it.  Whenever weird behaviour occurs, a reset is always a good starting point as it solves most issues.
