Using HX Stomp as Effects for a DI

Hey there!

I am a newbie at routing, and I wanna know if I can do the following:

I have myself a LR Baggs Voiceprint DI, and it need to be the first thing in the signal chain to work well. But I wanna use my HX Stomp to have some effects and stuff, like delay, reverb, looper, tuner, etc.

And, everything should come back to the Voiceprint so I could use the XLR out to the mixer. How could I do that? Is there a way to do it? I have used a cable from the Voiceprint Send, into the HX input, then another cable from HX output, into the Voiceprint return... but it just don't come any signal. Maybe I'm doing something wrong... I really don't know.

Can you guys give me a hand on that?

Thank you very much!

PS: I'm really newbie... so the more details you could give, the better.

The Voiceprint has an FX Loop, so VP FX Send>HXS L/Mono In>HXS L/Mono Out>VP FX Return>VP XLR Out>Mixer/Amp.

HXS Global Settings INS/OUTS>VOLUME CONTROLS should probably be set to PHONES, which sets the OUTPUT to UNITY (OUT=IN).

The HXFX I/O might need to be set to LINE level, depends on what the VP expects to see.

Turning the VOICE control full counter clockwise should result in cutting out any affect from the VOICEPRINT function.

The VP has 99 presets, so you might want to learn about those.

Make sure that the VP MUTE button is not engaged, and the volume is up.

Test if signal is getting to the HXS by plugging in headphones (start with the HXS Volume knob down so you don't blow your ears out!).

Also, and I know this seems obvious, but make sure the cables you're using are good.
