Real Names of Artists, Songs, Gear

Howdy. I’m new to the modeling community and am loving my Helix and Varaxes (89F and 700) and a soon-to-be-stereo FRFR speaker rig.

I have a touch of IP understanding, so I get why Line 6 uses cute names to reference model units/artists. But if I made a spreadsheet of guitars, amps, pedals, and artists, are there any legal methods for distribution? I have no plans to distribute either for free or by fee yet, but I’m down to the last few artist presets after many hours of data consolidation and am curious. Also, if it’s not a legal issue for me but may be for Line 6, that’d be good to know too. I don’t wanna get anyone, including L6 or myself, into any hot water.

Many thanks!

Thank you for the link; I had incorporated that but my list is much more detailed than that. <shrugs> It’s pretty much a small wiki with instrument dates, famous users or examples of each pedal, presets/real name cross-refs, etc. I’m finding it super useful as someone interested in musical history as well as creation, but it sounds like that’s just me also being new to Line 6 and modeling.

You’re a little late to the party - this has been done many time before. Lots of Excel spreadsheets and Acrobat pdf documents scattered around the forum and the internet.

Do a search. Here’s an example from a few weeks back.

Hope this helps/makes sense.
