Helix native install location on a mac

It’s crashing every daw and soundgrid, I have a trashcan mac fully loaded, and unfortunately, the latest OS (Sur 11.6 at the time of this writing).
at first it was just not loading presets.
then after deleting the plugs and reinstalling, it was running performance meters crazy high and clicking on the plug would cause the Daw to “poof”

i upgraded to 11.6 and any daw would load and crash with a HN plugin inserted.
so I pulled it out.
if anyone knows ALL of the places it installs to and where it keeps it’s libraries etc., so I could delete if totally off the system and start from scratch, that would be awesome.  All I have so far is the different plug locations installs.

Hi,

Knowledge Base > Recording > Helix Native

Best thing for you to do is read the Helix Native Pilot's Guide and on page 6 you will find the detailed info you require, under the heading

"Removing Helix Native".

http://uk.line6.com/support/manuals/helix-native/

Good luck.

Hope this helps/makes sense.

That doesn’t tell you ALL the places.  For example, the library files etc.

zero luck with support as well.  Been a week, no answers.  I’m a HUGE Helix supporter, have several variaxes and a ton of Line6 products.  This is the first time Line 6 has let all of us down, soooo many people having this issue and no solutions on line.

Mmm… well that’s not quite true is it?

Many people are using HX Native on a daily basis without any issues. Me, for example, and also a long time Mac user (right back to the Mac Plus).

I rather think that the crux of this situation is brought about by the changes made to the OS by Apple, although many people are using HXN with Big Sur.

Furthermore, what exactly do you mean by “That doesn’t tell you ALL the places.  For example, the library files etc.”?

Go to > Library > Audio Plug-ins and ditch all the ones you don’t require, i.e. inside the folders named Components, VST2, VST3 and AAX.

It’s not complicated.
