HX EffectsEVH 5150 III Green and Blue channel volume difference

Hi all,

First off please let me apologize if this has been covered in another post. I have searched for a couple of days with no luck.

I have an older EVH 5150 III 50. I have setup a separate preset for both that auto switches channel using Midi. Both the green channel and the Blue channel share a single volume and gain knob. When switching to the blue channel, it is WAY louder than the green channel.  I do not have a foot pedal for volume control and I'm hoping I can set up a preset for each channel with volume controls for each to even them out when switching.

Any ideas/solutions please?

Thanks a ton in advance!

I don't have HXFX, I have HXS and Floor, thus the following questions:

You're using separate presets for each channel? How are you wired? If 4cm with the FX Loop, can you use the Return Level?

Mixer Block Output? Gain Block? If using IN/OUT, is there a level control on the Output?

Sorry, I am using 4CM with the FX loop and yes, separate presets for each channel I don't see away to change Mixer Block or Gain block and I have not seen a level control on the output.

I'm new to all of this so I may be overlooking obvious things.

Page 26 of the manual (rev C) - FX Loop Settings:

Page  Knob   Parameter   Description
1          Send            Adjusts the level sent to your external device.
2          Return         Adjusts the level received at the Return jack.

Use the Return level to adjust the level being returned from the amp's preamp section (green/blue).

You can also do this in a single preset by assigning that level to Snaphot control, and using a Command Center Instant Command to send the MIDI message for the Channel change on the amp.
