HX Stomp as IOS interface-Disabling USB outputs??

So pretty straightforward....I mostly play guitar through my Ipad. I want to use the HX stomp as an audio interface for the inputs but the ipad speakers as the output.

I know IOS doesnt support aggregate devices. Before this I was using an IRIG PRO, and since its an only input interface, I guess the output defaults to the Ipad's speakers/headphone jack. Is there any way to make it so the HX stomp only provides inputs through usb and the outputs dont show up?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Apple Camera Connection Kit should do it. Do not even consider using the built in speakers as an audio reference - use some decent headphones instead.

Have a look at this:

Hope this helps/makes sense.

Hey thanks for the reply. I am using the camera connection kit actually. I have good headphones and studio monitors to use, but the ipad speakers are fine for me most of the time. For practice at least it just makes it a lot easier.

The problem im having is when using the hx stomp as an interface It doesnt let me use the ipad speakers as an output.

Nope, no way to disable. Its an iOS shortcoming. Whichever USB interface was plugged in last wins. So you have to plug in the device you want to use last (or unplug it and plug it in again). I wish Apple would enable aggregate devices, or at least selectable.
