dennisyurich
I've been using my HD500 for years. Last night at a gig there was no unbalanced output. Ugh! Tuner worked, all patches showed up. Today I checked again and no unbalanced output on either Right or Left. I checked the balanced XLR and headphone outputs and they all work. Since both Right and Left outputs stopped, it does not seem that there would be a physical connection issue inside. Could it be a software glitch? Is there a HD500 reset? Any suggestions as to what to look for?

Check also the 1/4" Out switch next to the pedal, move it up and down a few times, and finally set it to LINE _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ All about POD HD500/X help and useful tips
dennisyurich
Yes. The switch next to the pedal was the problem. It was half way between the two positions. Thanks a ton!!!

But there is a 3 step procedure that we refer to as a factory reset. The truth is, if you don't already know what it is, then I suggest you do it because.... If you are still running the original firmware, you will see some serious improvements and additions if you install the latest.
