I am touring America w my UK Helix - Do I need a step down transformer?

Hello,

I am on tour in 'murca at the moment and I am using my helix with a 110V to 240V step down transformer - this is working fine but having my amps on 110V and Helix on 240V is causing some problems and ALOT of humming.

Do I need the transformer? I have read on forums that The Helix has a voltage sensor that can attenuate to 110v w/o a transformer.

is this correct? Would obviously be a very expensive experiment so would appreciate any knowledge on this,

Thank you and gods speed

The Helix rack/floor comes with a variable voltage power supply, that accepts from 100 to 240Volt. There is also a version, for the japan market, which only accept 100Volt, but I'm pretty sure you have the first one, since you seems to live in a ~220Volt area. Frequency does adjust accordingly (50/60Hz)

Anyway, you just need to look at the back of your Helix, it's all there. :)
