hbgguitar
I've had the HX Stomp for several days and am liking the sounds I'm getting and the features that are offered, but certain functions don't seem to be working right. First, I'm unable to get the tempo to change with the footswitch. I'm assuming that whatever delay block you're using should change the tempo if you beat out a new tempo with that switch. But while the light will pulse slower or faster, there's no change in the audible tempo, nor in the tempo box for that effect. If I dial in a different tempo that will change the delay tempo, but that' the only way I've been able to change the tempo. Second problem. I've not been able to get Blocks turned on and off in Snapshots. Sometimes yes and sometimes no. I've gone through the individual block's setting and the global settings and tried everything each way. This morning I went to a completely new preset and put in 3 blocks and tried to set up snapshots and the scream 808 box I was trying to turn on and off just wouldn't cooperate. I've tried it with the snapshot option on "recall" and "discard", and every other setting I can think of. Saving and not saving, etc.. At this point, since I'm also having problems with the tempo tap feature, I'm thinking that I may have a faulty unit...
phil_m
As far as the tap tempo, you have to have the delay time or whatever other parameter you’re wanting to tie to tap tempo set to a note value for it to follow the tempo you tap in. On the hardware, just press the knob below the delay time parameter to switch from milliseconds to note values. As far as snapshots, make sure you have the Snapshots Bypass parameter for each block you want to be turned on and off with snapshots checked on (it should be on by default). If you leave the Snapshot Edit set to Recall, you don’t have to re-save the preset when changing snapshots for your settings to be remembered. It should be pretty straightforward, though, and I’m thinking perhaps there’s some step you’re missing.
