Tede
Has anyone tried this combo? . Im just wondering if I could "upgrade" the catalyst amp to sound like a fender deluxe reverb. All the reviews on youtube I have seen, has not been using a real amp, but PA systems or direct into a computer. I know its possible to use modellers like helix with the catalyst, but not sure how good it sound and feel. Well that all :)
rd2rk
Sounds and feels great. Just remember that it's NOT an FRFR speaker, so IRs might not sound as you'd expect. Also, consider that a DR is a system consisting of an amp, a cab and a speaker. Your Catalyst will never sound EXACTLY like a DR.
gtrman100
I would use an EQ in the effects loop to try and replicate a Deluxe Reverb. I don't know if that would sound good with the internal models other than Clean, though.
rd2rk
Can't speak for the UAFX, but the Helix DR sounds good. It's the cab/speaker part of the DR magic that the Catalyst might have trouble with.

Do attach a clip!
