How force Footswitch blocks on/off?

HX Stomp

I use a combination of "live action" (controlling the stomp activley) and backing tracks (controlling the stomp viw automation) during a stage show.  Some songs make use of automation to control my HX Stomp.  I am able to send MIDI signals to toggle the blocks on and off, but if I forget to start a song in a certain condition, the blocks get out of sync (they are on when they should be off etc).

For instance, I am sending a CC to 49 that toggle distortion on/off and that works fine...  But I want to send an explicit signal from the backing track at the start of the song to force the distortion to be off si the toggling will be in sync.

Is there a CC command to do this?

It appears that if a block is OFF, and you send it's FS CC with a Value of 0 (OFF), it toggles to ON and vice versa.

If you assign a MIDI CC to a block's BYPASS and use the BYPASS CC instead of the FS CC this does not happen.

This solution is less than ideal since it requires you to assign a BYPASS CC to each block but it works.

You might want to report this as a bug to L6 support.

The way I handle this is I have each song as a different preset, so the song/preset is in a predictable state.  Therefore I select the song which loads the preset in it's default saved state, and then start the song via the MIDI controller that starts the playback of my performance system (tracks and MIDI), the MIDI sequences are always in sync.
