bradspaulding
I am using a Morningstar MC6 to add switches and control to the HX Stomp. I have a switch on the MC6 sending a MIDI CC to change a delay note sync (just toggling between 1/4 note and dotted 1/8), and it appears that, when I change snapshots, that parameter is reverting back to whatever value the preset was saved with. This seems like very odd (possibly buggy?) behavior. Why would the value change at all if it is not a snapshot controlled parameter? It shouldn't matter, but for completeness' sake, Snapshot Bypass is set to off for the delay block.
rd2rk
When you change Snapshots it's loading the value SAVED in THAT Snapshot. If Global Settings>Preferences>Snapshot Edits is set to RECALL, then when you return to the edited Snapshot it will RECALL your changes, but when you change a parameter in a Snapshot the parameter only changes for THAT Snapshot, not ALL Snapshots. That's how it works, not a "bug". Snapshot Bypass ONLY affects the Bypass state of a Block. When ON if you change the Bypass State then change to another Snapshot it loads the SAVED Bypass state. When OFF the change is retained regardless of the SAVED Bypass state. Having an option to apply Snapshot Bypass functionality to Parameters has been requested on Ideascale. Go there, search for "Snapshot Bypass" and VOTE for ALL of the entries pertaining to Parameters. https://line6.ideascale.com/a/login 1
bradspaulding
Thanks @rd2rk. I understand that's just how it works, it was just unexpected because its configured to be controlled via MIDI, I wouldn't expect it to be controlled also by the snapshot. Upvoted the idea scale topics!
