Catalyst with footswitch doesn't control to boost?!?

I bought this amp for live use in manual mode. What you see is what you get, type of setup, like an regular amp. I almost never use fx, but I boost my solos all the time. I bought the footswitch because a midi controllers would be total overkill. I only need to control the boost, but it controls the FX/Reverb. I think the boost would be way more useful for this footswitch.

 

Who wants to run to the amp and push down the tiny little boost button for the solo?!? Can we please get an updated firmware so we can map the footswitch?

 

Now the brand new footswitch is in the closet and I still have to bring an overdrive pedal to gigs :(

You can map the Boost function to the Effect footswitch. It’s very easy to do. You just need to use the Catalyst Edit app to do it. This is how I set mine up, actually, because my thinking is the same as yours.

Thank you! I totally missed that setting in the app.

 

Since I don't change amps in the same song, I wish the switches could be boost and effect. It's too bad we can only map the effect switch, but not the channel switch.
