Scalpalexis
Hi, I was wondering if I can use the HX Stomp as a reamp box? If I do the following routing, will the HX Stomp transform the signal from Line level to Instrument level, like a reamp box does: Output of my interface (audient ID44) --> Mono input of the HXS (set to Line Level) --> mono output of the HXS (set to Instrument level) --> Amplifier of any kind Thank you! Hi, You can use your HX Stomp to re-amp without the need to use your Audient ID44 interface as the facility for re-amping is built in. See the HX Stomp 3.0 Owner's Manual - Rev D - English - Pages 55-56 USB Audio - DI Recording and Re-amping. https://line6.com/data/6/0a020a418962611d636e7c51b/application/pdf/HX Stomp 3.0 Owner's Manual - Rev D - English .pdf This guy has a video too. Hope this helps/makes sense.

Yes I know, but I don't want to do that, I want to use a real amp and other amp sims then the one in the Helix. I also don't want to use the HX as an interface, I really just want to know if it can transform the signal from Line level to Instrument level. O.K. From the HX Stomp 3.0 Owner’s Manual page 51 - Global Settings > Ins/Outs Output Level - “Choose “Inst[rument]” when connecting the 1/4" outputs to stompboxes or the front of guitar amps; choose “Line” when connecting to mixers or standalone recorders. When using a single amp or mixer channel, connect only the LEFT/MONO 1/4" jack.” https://line6.com/data/6/0a020a418962611d636e7c51b/application/pdf/HX Stomp 3.0 Owner's Manual - Rev D - English .pdf Hope this helps/makes sense. Unfortunatly, I've read this info too, but it's not clear if it transform the signal or not. I guess I'll simply wait and get the reamp box I want. If it is set to “Line” then the output should be connected to a mixer or other recording device. I really cannot see how that is complex, but if you want spend money on a reamp box - fine, do that, but it would appear that you are making this thing more complicated than necessary. The simplest way to check if this works how you want - plug stuff into your HX Stomp and try it. Hope this helps/makes sense. P.S. I’m studio based and I have been using my Helix Floor unit to reamp since 2016 - no issues here.
