Some pod go improvement suggestions

Hi, I tried to post some suggestions to improve the pod go on ideascale but it shows me a "Community is set to Read Only. Any update operation is not allowed" message. So I'm just leaving the ideas here, maybe one day someone will read them and find them interesting.

1) the inability to change from clean to dirty using snapshots, which I've kinda solved by turning off the amp, changing the IR and adding a minotaur and some eq to create a nice clean tone. It would be much easier if an amp had a "channel switch" or if the drive went from clean to distorted, but none of the amps has either. But it's fine, I managed to get a clean sound anyway.

2) I have to use a few presets to play all songs. One preset covers most songs (4 most common snapshots). If I had 6 snapshots I'd only need one preset, or maybe two to cover all my needs, but I'm using 5 presets to be able to play all songs using snapshots.

3) I'd love to be able to move snapshots around. Replacing snapshot 1 with 3, for instance.

4) A stereo pannable plate reverb, you could call it "sunrise sound" lol

5) While we're at it, maybe the MXR 6-band eq?

6) Saving fx presets in pod go edit?

7) A "return to default" in effects, amps etc...

Thanks!

Some of this exists, or can be worked around. My (very uninformed) thoughts here:

1) You can set any parameter to a snapshot or pedal. I go from clean to dirty on some amps, e.g. a plexi, by having a pedal assigned to the drive, channel volume, and master volume parameters (I will probably add some amp tone stack changes in there too). On my Helix I am able to switch between 2 actual amps, but this isn't a Helix.

2) I'd definitely like 8 snapshots per patch. You can do this with a Helix (my main gigging modeler). Might be possible for developers to do this with a Pod Go but I'd bet there are technical limitations you'd have to trade off (e.g. less presets or something), plus market differentiation with their other products.

6) Why can't you save effects presets in Pod Go Edit? You can use "User Defaults" for your preferred parameter settings or "Favorites" for this purpose, if I understand you correctly.

7) You can also return any parameter to a default in PG Edit (I think it's ctrl-click in Windows, e.g. or something like that). If you want to return an entire effect or amp to default just change the thing then change it back.

Hope that helps!

Hi!
I am also getting "Community is set to Read Only. Any update operation is not allowed".

I joined ideascale, got a verification code, logged in -and then I get this popup window for completing my profile.
But when I do that and click "submit" I get the "Community is set to Read Only. Any update operation is not allowed" message.
The profile completion popup window will not go away until my profile info is submitted, so it seems I am stuck.
Any help would be appreciated. Didn't find anywhere else to ask for help for this.

Thanks!

Re (2) don't forget you can still use stomp mode in any snapshot and kick in any fx or parameter changes you want using FS1-6.  However, you can also add 2 external momentary foot switches and you can do the same thing with FS7/8.

Whilst you can't (currently) see FS7/8 in the display (which would be a good upgrade if Line 6 could add it) and typically momentary switches don't have an LED, there is a very important advantage for gigging in using FS7/8 - and that is that you can activate these in ANY MODE without having to tap dance in/out of preset/stomp/snapshot modes.

So, lets say you want to kick in a clean volume boost for solos (I do this by using the main out level, jumping from 0-3dB) you can set FS7 to do this & kick it in wherever you are. Or you might want to change mic models with FS8.  Anything you can do with FS1-6 you can do with FS7/8 including multiple changes.

It could be a perfect solution for you, and is what I do.  I already had the Bespeco switches and Y cable but you can buy a small 2-button momentary switch complete with a single TRS cable (eg the Hotone Ampero switch) for only around $17 from Amazon
