Ihaveagibsonsg
I have an HXFX and I'd like to pair it with a HX stomp to play with both live. I want to use the stomp as my amp unit and the hxfx as my effects unit. I need to know if I pair them together if I will have enough outputs to send one signal to front of house with an IR and another to cab on stage with no IR. I'm opting to go this route because I like the idea of being able to use my HXFX for my tube amps and not have to haul around an entire helix. I've attached a video of me playing with the Neural DSP Archetype Petrucci plugin just for fun... https://youtu.be/xq_ihMiME_4
rd2rk
Very Zen use of white space :-) Using both devices vs a single Helix LT or Floor saves you very little floor space, especially if you add an expression pedal (wah/volume). It increases wiring complexity and thus the number of potential failure points. It increases setup/teardown time. It adds latency to the system. It does not, in any way, increase the amount of DSP or # of FX available. Unless there's something about your application/rig that you didn't mention in your post, you're much better off sticking to a single Helix LT/Floor.
