Is the Poly Capo Function the same as using a CAPO?

Yes, but no. An actual capo takes time to apply/remove, and doesn’t allow down-shifting. Also using an actual capo does not result in any dissonance as you hear the physical vibrations of the strings. Using the Poly Capo you hear this in the background, in standard tuning, while also hearing the adjusted pitch of the strings. Most players who hear this for the first time think the FX is not working properly.
