Settings not restored when un-freezing tracks in Pro Tools 2023.3

Anyone else getting this?

Workflow:

I use Helix Native on a track, get a sound I like for tracking and then concentrate on getting the takes - rinse and repeat for all the guitar & bass parts in the song. Later I might freeze the Helix Native tracks to keep buffer size / latency as low as possible when continuing to layer up the production. When I come to mix on another day, I unfreeze the track and Helix reverts to the first default preset and loses all my settings.

I work between two machines (studio and home) but the plugin versions, Pro Tools version, Mac OS, etc are all the same. Any other plugin just remembers the settings when it un-freezes, HXN is the only one I have this issue with. Any ideas?

I’m not familiar with Pro Tools so can’t advise on how HN behaves there. But as a general workaround…. When you are freezing HN can you Save the preset to the HN library and take note of the name and location? Then you’ll at least be able to recover the settings later by recalling the preset.

I expect you’re already doing that and are just looking for an answer to your question,  but I’m just mentioning it in case. Might be a bug in HN that should be reported through the support ticket mechanism?
