Catalyst 60 AND HX Stomp midi cable

I really like some of the amps in my Catalyst 60 and want to use my HX Stomp to change the amps parameters during songs.  On paper I can use the HX command centre for this but my problem is what cable will work.  Midi din to usb-b doesn't seem to exist.  I can set the HX Stomp to send via USB but USB-b to USB-b cables also don't appear to exist.  Can I use 2 usb-b to usb-a cables joined with a usb-a coupler? TIA

This is the use case that calls for the Cat100/200 which have MIDI DIN ports.

The cables you're looking for don't exist because DIN to USB requires a "HOST" to do the translation.

You can do this with a computer, or a device like this:

Amazon.com: CAMOLA USB MIDI Host Box High Speed USB to MIDI Converter MIDI Interface( UMH-21) : Everything Else

From a computer you would use either a DAW or something like MIDIOX. Either can be configured to take the MIDI over USB from the HXS and send it via USB to the Cat60.

If you happen to be in the market for an Audio Interface some (iConnectivity comes to mind) also have a MIDI HOST Port.

Two birds with one stone?

I ended up going with the Disaster Area micro.ghost

Sadly it's not working because I don't think it supports the Catalyst's multifunctional USB port.

"Plug your USB MIDI device into the USB HOST port, apply standard pedalboard 9V power, and wait for the light to turn green."

It never goes green, stays an angry red.

I'm going to try the Kenton next:
