Struong57
Greetings, I have had my Helix floorboard for about a year now and have a setlist of 84 songs, which I have sorted in alphabetical order by song name. I constantly save this setlist to my MacBook just so I don't lose everything in case of a glitch. The question I have is, is there a way for me to print/save a list of all of my 84 presets from this setlist so I can quickly glance at that list and see if I already have a preset for a particular song? I would like to be able to look at this list without having to turn on my Helix. Thanks in advance!
silverhead
There's no direct way to get a text file that lists only the preset names. But there is a way to get them in a format you can work with. In HX Edit under the File menu select Extract Files From Backup... This will open a dialog where you can select the setlist(s) whose presets you want. Of course you may need to Create Backup... first. The Preset files will be exported to a folder, one folder per setlist. In that folder will be the set of preset files listed in order of preset#. The format of each filename is 'Presetxxx-<presetname>.hlx'. That in itself may be all you need. If you want to tidy it up you're into PC or MAC folder manipulations.
