Dragun
Hello. After an incident with a custom guitar sound from the Spider Line 6 Remote cloud, I have a question: are the custom sounds reviewed by someone before becoming available to everyone? Problem is, I downloaded the sound "Lamb of god" from a creator "Lgs12345678". With the headphones on my ears, I listened to the sound twice and was numbed by the accompanying pain. The volume setting was quite ok with all the other sounds I clicked on. The same sound from the creator of the cloud “soylemezoglu” had the same effect. Please be very careful if someone plan to check this. After such an incident, you consider simply giving away such hardware with this support and looking for another provider. There are enough. Not to my knowledge. I am not certain about the Remote Cloud for Spider amps, but I know that preset uploads to the Customtone site (the equivalent site for other products such as Helix) are not reviewed. Anyone can upload what they want, call it what they want, and describe it as they want. As you note, this can be a problem for users who don't protect themselves by lowering the output volume of their device before loading the preset. It's always a good idea, in any circumstance. to lower the headphone or speaker volume when first listening to any new audio source. The effect you describe can happen when listening to any computer generated audio (e.g. YouTube, Spotify, ...) through your Spider amp unless you protect yourself by turning down the amp volume first.
