mikesmithwick
Hi all, I was just wondering if you could help me out on my volume pedal problem as I'm very much a newbie to the Stomp. I'm using the Sonicake VolWah, and I want it to be able to have the volume at 50% when the pedal is all the way back, and 100% when all the way on. The pedal doesn't have an expression out, just an input and output....I've tried with TRS and non TRS cables, plugged the guitar into the input of the Sonicake and the connected the output to firstly the input of the Stomp, and then tried the expression pedal input of the Stomp, plugged the guitar into the Helix and the pedal into the expression input of the Helix with both TRS and non TRS cables, brought up a volume block and set it how I want it, but nothing changes, in fact I only get sound if I disengage the volume block. I know it's something I'm not doing or am doing wrong, have you any suggestions of how it should be done? Should I be making changes in the expression pedal section of the Global settings? I'd really appreciate any help, cheers in hope, Mike
Schmalle
You can't make the Sonicake work as an expression pedal, sorry. You need a proper expression pedal with a 10kOhm linear pot.
mikesmithwick
Hi, thanks for reply....I don't want it as an expression pedal, just a volume control. So to be able to set a minimum and maximum setting on the volume block, I need a different pedal do I?
Schmalle
Yes. The volume block (like any other block / parameter) can be controlled by an expression pedal but not by a volume pedal.
