Newman2612
1. I’m using a Marshall footswitch. At rehearsal today I noticed that, when using it to change from Channel A to B, there was a momentary pause, very short, only a fraction of a second, but noticeable (which I hadn’t noticed at home albeit using headphones). Is this usual? Is the case when using the Line 6 branded footswitch? 2. If I name a preset in Edit and save it to Catalyst, when I next open the same preset it has the “default” name and not the one I have given it. Why doesn’t it “stick”? rd2rk
1 - Yes. You are not "switching channels" as in an analog amp. Your Catalyst actually does not have 6 BANKS of 2 CHANNELS, it has 6 BANKS of 2 PRESETS. When you "switch channels" you are actually UNLOADING one preset and then LOADING another, which takes a couple of ms. 2 - Describe the EXACT step by step procedure that you use to RENAME and SAVE a preset.

Thanks. Re 1. Hmm despite all the marketing and manual referring to "Channel" A and B (not "preset"). But I understand. Re 2. Eg In Edit, 1B is titled 1B Dirty Lead if I edit the title box to read 1B 502 Crunch, press Save Current Preset to Catalyst 60, the screen goes to the current preset saved screen, the new title is preserved, switch to 1A then go back to 1B the original 1B Dirty Lead title is displayed. rd2rk
After you edit the title, are you hitting ENTER before you SAVE?

Newman2612
BTW I gigged with the Catalyst last night. Couldn't fault it. Don't think I'll need my Marshall now.
