homeeditor
I've read there are some major compatilibity issues with modern systems in the mentioned model. It's actually a bit dated. Is there some modern computer interface that's equivalent to UX2? I have the option of either keep UX2 or sell it and buy something new. If I buy any newer product, would I miss anything from the old one? Please give some advice.
silverhead
That’s an old product. Might as well keep it and use it as long as it’s still working but you’re right - if it’s not already it will soon be left behind as computer operating systems evolve. Personally I wouldn’t buy one today. Line 6 no longer makes standalone audio interfaces so I would look at offerings from other manufacturers. Focusrite audio interface products are frequently mentioned here but I don’t use one so can’t make a recommendation. Google is your friend. The only thing you might miss is a license to the original (pre v2.5) POD Farm product. This license was often bundled with a UX2 purchase. So if you use POD Farm and sell your UX2 you will need to purchase a new hardware independent (v2.5) POD Farm license.
